This week we continued learning about the Medieval times. We studied pilgrimages and made badges! My children (and I) love learning about this period in time. There is also so much to learn that you never get bored.
We also studied knights. The kids find it amazing that they wore all that armor.
I found this book and knew we had to have it as well. Each day they can learn about a new Middle Ages occupation and answer some questions about it.
We of course had to add some awesome movies as well!
Skyler decided to draw Stella Luna her cat for nature drawing time. She was sitting on the small book case by the window.
We all know the Medieval Times had a totally different language than now! We learned some common words and phrases. I love the fact that they could remember so many things about Shakespeare and his plays!
They still want their lunches packed!
They are listening to an audio tour of a Medieval village talking about the fuedal system. This is from Homeschool In The Woods Passport Middle Ages project DVD.
They are still working through some geometry activities with the Sir Cumference series of books.
All in all GREAT WEEK!!! I am hoping for way more art type stuff next week!!
