Peek At Our Week 16

After being on winter break it was hard to get back in the swing of things! Learning about Medieval Times helped quite a bit! Every year we go to the Hoggetowne Medieval Fair so I wanted to focus on that so they would enjoy the fair more. We are of course reading a ton of books! We are going to learn as much as possible in the coming weeks, which is hard because you can easily spend a year or more on this time period! It is just so exciting and so much happened during this period!

A ton of books to choose from!

Skyler chose these books to start off her journey through the middle ages.

The journals the kids are using for this came from pdf files I bought in the past from The Thinking Tree. My kids like their journals so we stick with them!

Fox chose the most boyish books possible!

Rhyli has never really gotten to do this type of school so it is all kind of new to her still. She learned about topics and such in public school but has never really gotten to dive in!

We are also using parts of The Homeschool In The Woods Middle Ages Project Passport. Other than that we are using bits of Live and Learn Middle Ages and making a timeline as well.

I have the whole series of Sir Cumference books for math related activities.

After learning so much about Shakespeare we of course have to include some of his work!!

I doubt we will get through all I have planned by the time we go to the fair but that is a HUGE benefit of homeschool, we can just keep on learning afterwards!
