Peek At Our Week 18

We had such a great week! After some truly crummy weather it was nice to get outside and have fresh air and walk without seeing our breath! We also had a fun little friend join us this week! I had almost forgotten the busyness of a toddler. I had almost forgotten the look of wonder on their faces or how big their eyes get when they see and do things for the first time. The joy that little girl had in just finding shells was so touching! She also had great fun tearing up a cattail and watching the fluff from it float everywhere.

We are still killing the Medieval times and did some pretty cool art this week as well. The kids all had a fun week.

The Dinosaur Basket

My kids even at their age are still amazed with dinosaurs! When I saw this journal I knew I had to have it! Of course the journal needed books and stuff and well....it just needed a basket of its own!!

Peek At Our Week 17

This week we continued learning about the Medieval times. We studied pilgrimages and made badges! My children (and I) love learning about this period in time. There is also so much to learn that you never get bored.

Peek At Our Week 16

After being on winter break it was hard to get back in the swing of things! Learning about Medieval Times helped quite a bit! Every year we go to the Hoggetowne Medieval Fair so I wanted to focus on that so they would enjoy the fair more. We are of course reading a ton of books! We are going to learn as much as possible in the coming weeks, which is hard because you can easily spend a year or more on this time period! It is just so exciting and so much happened during this period!

A ton of books to choose from!

Fox Being Fox!

From the time he was tiny he wanted to know how it all worked! He is my builder boy still at sixteen. I have always knwon that when Fox is quiet you had better check on him, and NEVER let him be bored! When Fox is bored you may lose an appliance! The look on his face when I walked in asking what are you doing?? The look is just priceless and I am so glad I caught it on camera!

I love the smug look he has as well when I just rolled eyes and said, carry on kid carry on! He apparently has always wondered how pens are put together and decided to butcher one to see! This I do not mind at all. When he was younger I caught him trying to take apart the T.V. so again even at sixteen you got to watch him!!
