We had such a fun day at the court house! They learned so much about the inside of the building and the way things happen as well as what people do what jobs!
They loved seeing an actual courtroom and sitting in the jury box!
Visiting the holding cells for the inmates was an eye opener too. They learned about Bundy Braces and all the things that go with taking an inmate to a court hearing.
They also got to be locked in a jail cell. I wouldn't want to be in there for real that is for sure!
Fox thought it was funny, I was tempted to leave him LOL!!
The kids got to see a cell key compared to a regular key and it is a big difference!
The toilet in a cell is GROSS!!! It is combined with a sink and in plain view of everyone else. Talk about no privacy!!
Skyler was excited to ride the inmate elevator!
The kids got to learn all about a taser as well as see it in action!
The nice officer showed them the two different hand cuffs he carried as well as gave the kids turns in being cuffed!
They all got to sit in the judges chair! Damian didn't want too.
Before the day was over the kids all got to try out the swat gear and even Damian had fun with that one!
This is my swat baby!!!! I am fairly certain this stuff weighs more than her!
It was a great field trip and the kids had so much fun while they were learning at that! The officers were just so great with the kids and I loved hearing my son say, "I guess cops aren't so scary".
