LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!!!

WE MADE IT TO OUR LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!  We even did some school! The kiddos did some math, this will continue this summer anyway. They also worked on the Critical thinking mystery, Lakeiwannafish. It has been a long year with so many changes!

We got to have a friend join us almost everyday for school so that was pretty awesome! Some of our wonderful friends moved away this year and that was sad. We also made quite a few new friends and a best friend who joined the homeschool world, so many changes this year! Some were wonderful, some were hard and most will never be forgotten!

We took new classes this year. We took new field trips and saw many new things this year. We had a blast. We had bad days too, the days home school moms don't talk about. The whining over school work, the not wanting to get out of bed, the fighting over chores kind of days! These are the days that are so hard and sadly there are quite a few. Even days that start off amazing can end up the "bad" days.

There is a reason I am saying all of this it's because NONE of us are perfect! We see those blogs of the happy kids, the perfect houses and school rooms and all the things those kids accomplish and let me tell you in all honestly, you see on a blog the best days. I should more likely say best moments. We make plans and God laughs. Stop feeling bad when you see this in the internet world because we are all just doing our best. We photograph those "perfect" moments because in all honesty they are rare and we want to fill up our phones with them.

We want to forget the bad moments and the plans that fell apart and the tears and concentrate on the wonderful! The wonderful AHAH moments are the best that will live in our memory long after the bad leave. That is what you should concentrate on not what you see on other peoples blogs and facebook posts. Look for your perfect moments and don't worry about the whole day! This is my goal next year. I am not going to worry about the day or the week I am going to live in that moment and try not to focus on what isn't happening or if it is happening in a way I didn't plan!

That being said, this was a fun week too. The kiddos worked on their Critical Thinking mystery and they had fun! review for that coming next week. We cleaned up our classroom and cleaned out the work they had done for the year and just had tried to have fun! The girls did enjoy playing detective this week. They are still riding that high of Teen Police Academy! That was a wonderful class to do and they can't wait for next year!

We also had the joy of watching the little aliens start walking around and playing with each other!

Next week Skyler and Rhyli both will be starting a summer program for Performing Arts and Fox will be starting some summer business math and survival skills! So happy summer everyone! Hope your year was full of "perfect" moments!!

  1. The next time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to read, however I really thought youd have one thing fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you might fix for those who werent too busy searching for attention. casino slots
