We were so excited to be given the chance to review CursiveLogic! My daughter has already learned cursive in the past but is not in any way fluent with using it and Rhyli has been begging to learn cursive so this was an amazing opportunity to be able to use! We received the CursiveLogic Quick-Start Pack and the Art of Cursive for this review.
The Quick-Start Pack includes the workbook and a 6 month access to an extremely informative webinar! It explains the method step by step so there is no confusion on how to use this wonderful book! The Art of Cursive is a beautiful coloring book with cursive practice. I knew Rhyli would love the Quick-Start Pack and Skyler would be thrilled to use the coloring book. The coloring book is for those who have already completed the workbook or already know cursive. Both girls are thirteen and have had no issue using this program. I would say that just about any age could use it.
I was very interested in seeing that the program teaches by letter stroke and not the order of the alphabet. It makes learning the letters very quick and easy. There are four starting strokes and after learning these you can easily write all the lower letters of the alphabet. There are also dry-erase pages included in the back of the book to be used over and over again. Letter linking is taught from the start of the program which is completely different from how I have learned it so it was again very interesting. I found that it made more sense to teach this early on and it was an AHA! moment for sure!
This book right here just blew me away with its art work! I mean beyond the cursive practice it offers it is simply beautiful! The pictures are just amazingly creative and I cannot say enough about how they weaved the letters into the art work. The creativity astounds me and the pictures once colored are just priceless. I plan on keep her book long after she is done and framing some of them because they truly are just that beautiful! I have seen her work for days coloring just one page!
I also love the quotes on the pages as well. The way they have turned "strings" of letters into art to color is just genius! The book itself is of high quality. These are not thing flimsy pages. They come out bright and vibrant when colored, not dull and cheap looking!

I cannot believe how bright and pretty these come out! The coloring pages are full and intricate so she can work on one for days before she is finished. She will also work on one picture for a bit then maybe another for a time as well. When I asked Skyler her thoughts on the coloring book she wanted to know when the next book was coming! She absolutely without a doubt loves her coloring book!
I never have to remind the girls to do their cursive either. This is usually the first thing they hit on in the morning! A program a kid loves that much has to be a win!
I asked Rhyli her thoughts on the book and she couldn't be happier with it! She had always wanted to learn cursive and never given the chance in public school. She had always also thought it was this horribly hard thing to do so she was also intimidated by it as well. This program not only taught her cursive handwriting, but erased her fears as well. Within days she was also using what she had learned in her other school work as well.
This program is everything you need to teach cursive in a simple and painless way! It not only teaches but it makes it fun and quick. I have discovered that quick is always the best way! I would easily recommend this program to anyone teaching their child cursive or even those adults who want to learn it or brush up on some forgotten skills!
