Summer Week 11

This is pretty much the last week before we get ready for our new school year. Skyler did some outside fun with planting mint in her fairy gardens. We had gotten cutting some weeks back and they finally grew roots so here is hoping they do nicely outside!

We also "rescued" some plants in the clearance section at Lowes for her. She is all about rescuing the plants LOL!

The plate in this garden is for bees. She really loves bees!

We found a bee house at Aldi so she had to have that too for her gardens. I didn't know this but apparently bees and fairies are great friends!

She got this Stem Box by the Bug Chics quite a while back and we finally found a butterfly to use with it. I was a bit sad to see that in the manual that comes with it there is a paragraph about humanely killing bugs to mount them. My daughter would never kill anything for this purpose. We have waited months to find a butterfly that was already passed on. I found him on the cooler at work one night.

       Butterflies are the prettiest things!

She can add him to the shelf where the one she already has from the museum is. She also wanted to finish watching the Prehistoric Park episodes.

We finally took a minute to research that weird dinosaur we had seen at our field trip to Dinosauria!

Once again Fox was determined to make something from his electric kit work. It was suppose to be a bug that moved but he could only get the light to work.

Skyler decided to play with her calligraphy kit.

We finally dragged out all her new books from The Thinking Tree she will be using this school year!

I hope we get ready for the new year!
