Peek At Our Week 10

This week Fox made brain sludge! It was an experiment in one of his books for Guest Hollow Chemistry and it was gross and neat at the same time. He added some milk to vinegar and it did actually create little blobs that look like brain matter. It was pretty neat to see.         

Summer Week 10

        We sure did learn about bees this week! Skyler is pretty big on bees, I mean they are a friend of the fairies after all! The first thing we did was learn how bees smell. She had fun picking stuff out of the spice cabinet to use for this one!

         She made little cups and had to close her eyes to smell and guess. She had to do this two times to see if she got them right each try and she missed on the second! 

Peek At Our Week 10!

What a busy week! Two  field trips, school and me working! I think we accomplished quite a bit though! Not many projects this week sadly. Skyler and Fox both started their new journals though!! Massive excitement there.

I am so thrilled to say I actually helped edit this book and make up a few writing prompts! Now my daughter gets to use it!

She was also thrilled with her new computer class....

This was too perfect not to have together! This is a piper minecraft computer and it is awesome!!! This was something she couldn't wait to sit down and make her brother help put it together.

Those blueprints are HUGE! I am so excited for Skyler to use the minecraft book! We have been waiting a long time for this!

Damian did do a little unit about baking soda for a project this week. We didn't totally slack!

Fox had his pick between a few different journals and I was kinda surprised he didn't pick minecraft as well.

Every year the Stephen Foster park has a old timey kinda day so we went this year and after a few pictures and a few minutes all my kids were just ready to go! It was horribly crowded and my kids just weren't feeling it!!

We did stop by to see the amazing pottery teacher though! She is our favorite by far. We also watched them make cane syrup because that never gets old either.

We came home and spent the afternoon decorating for Fall. 

Skyler had to make a little fairy garden of course!

We also got to stop at homeschool park day with awesome friends! 

It was wonderful that this little cutey from the highway managed to score a great home as well. Strays are my weakness so I am almost always looking to home a puppy!

I was very impressed to receive this from my oldest childs' college. I am a proud momma!!

We finished our week with the history museums astronomy day. This happens once a year and it is always fun. It is almost an hour drive so it was even more fun getting half way there only to hear Skyler say, she forgot her shoes! We found some flip flops at Dollar General and had a great night together.

This artwork is also 3-D and it is amazing.

This cool guy told us all about how they are growing plants in space.

We had such a full week and such a fun time! 

Peek At Our Week!!! Week 10 semester 2

Well we had no MAM Monday yesterday since we had doc appts. We had a full week though that is for sure!! Co-op, new Thinking Tree Stuff, pottery, fairy gardens and too much busy life stuff!!

These are Skylers cool newbies to try out!! We are very excited. 

This is Damians new book to try out. As we have only used these for a week now I will not do a review so much in this post. This is our week review so to speak and these babies right here deserve there own! So that will be on the calendar to work on next week. 

He hates the flash! He is working though so YAY!!!!!

Just so no one thinks Fox was left out he received a new journal as well but refuses to start it until this one is finished.

Here is a peek of a page Skyler and I did in her new journal for two! Here are all her fairy gardens we worked on this week. Most of these had been planted a while ago so they are just update pics then they're is the new one and and her stump full of flowers she is pretty proud of.

Here is her making the newest fairy garden. She saved up for a while for all her fairy stuff and her uncle Jason helped her quite a bit. 

For co-op this week it was all about gears and pulleys. Of course the amazing mom who runs this co-op posts all her stuff online!! 

So many activities!!!!!!! So much fun today! Next week is the last week so it has been a fun month long co-op.

In pottery this week the kiddos got to paint the bowls they had made last week.

Very fun very FULL week. 

Week 10 and a field trip!!!

On Monday Math Fox won again. Gonna have to try and make this a bit harder for the kiddos!!! I have been using the math game every week and some daily math word problems from the teachers school house site. Next week we are getting back to using our business math.

This week both kiddos moved up a lesson in math so yay math!!! Fox was very proud that he finished his reader. War Of The Worlds. I am very proud. HE HATES TO READ!!! This is a big deal for him. He seems to like these reader books I managed to find at the warehouse. I am really glad I grabbed one of each!!!

Did I mention it still tickles me to see all of tem at he table! I missed Damian so much when he was at school!!!

We started our space study this week for science so of course we had to add in a Magic School Bus video!! They are a must and Fox and Skyler still like them LOL

We started building our solar system model as well. They will paint each one as they learn about it.

On Saturday we took a field trip to Dudley Farms. My kids really like this place very much. I had mixed up my days I thought this was kids craft day sadly it wasn't. They did have quite a few talented artists out around the place painting so that was still fun to see.

As you can tell from the pictures, Fox was overly excited this day!! I personally think he like Skylers little friend LOL.

We also learned about cane syrup. We learned how it is made where it comes from and such. Fox begged for a bottle so I got him one and he is the only one who likes it. I think it smells like spegheetio's. Blech!!!

Well that was our week!!!
