She made little cups and had to close her eyes to smell and guess. She had to do this two times to see if she got them right each try and she missed on the second!
We made fennel candy as well. This is a recipe from her Teaching Kids About Herbs Book for Herbology! The stuff was actually pretty good and tasted like black licorice, at first. After that it wasn't so good. It aids in digestion though and many people take a spoonful after meals.
Next up we did some activities with cheetos to learn how bees help in pollinating! This is all from her book, Turn This Book Into A Bee Hive.
Eating the left overs was not an issue for her! We also finally pulled out the Wildcraft Herb Game. So, I bought this oh about two years ago! We just kept forgetting and finally pulled it out to play! It was a fun afternoon and we did learn more about herbs as well!
She finally watched her movie too Fairy Tale. It was a sweet movie but it made her really sad when all the humans were hunting the poor fairies. She said if she ever found anything amazing she wouldn't tell anyone because they would just destroy it.
Fox has been in a get my work done mood for weeks lately but he is still chugging along doing school! He did get really into writing a creative story about some hikers this week!
That was it for our week. I am in planning mode now for next school year and so grateful I already purged my school room for the year!
