After the farm today we decided to hit our favorite history museum! We really wanted to see the new exhibit about Florida's past as well as the new Discovery Zone for younger kiddos. Even though it is for younger kiddos my kids still had to explore!
This wall has hundreds of frogs and we absolutely love it!
Our bonus kiddo Rhyli has never been here before so it was great fun seeing it all through her eyes so to speak. The kids all wanted to show her their favorite places as soon as possible and she was running around like a chicken with her head cut off!
We got a lesson on shells while we were here. We heard all about how they were once used and how big they could get and many other fun facts!
This guy was amazing with the kids. He spent so much time explaining things all the while holding their attention by being hands on and answering questions they had. He was so friendly and patient, I just love coming in contact with people like this! You could tell he really wanted to be there and was enjoying teching as much as we were enjoying learning!
The kids love finding those little hidden spots!
The kids also had to go in the butterfly garden as well. This is another place I love taking pictures of them.
The kids love when the butterflies interact with them and land on them. They also were thrilled to see an actual 3-D printer in action and were surprised to learn how many hours it took to print something!
They all had to pose with Mr. Skeleton!
The new Discovery Zone may have been designed for the younger kiddos but I think kids of all ages would have a blast in this room!
I would never wanna meet this snake when it was alive!
It is so rare I ever get pictures of these two anymore!
Fox saw this sword and had to read all about it. I love when they search for information on their own and follow their own interests!
No matter how old he gets he will always be "My Bug Boy".
We had a wonderful day together just playing and learning all over Gainesville! I have come to believe we are the only people who would do three field trips in one day!
