It's here, it's here, IT IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!! The day we wait for all year long is here finally! The Medieval Fair has come and for one day we step back in time to an amazing world. This is the day we talk about in our house more than any other. We spend months finding the perfect dress for Princess Skyler and remembering all the past years of the fair and wonder what we will see and do this year. We can't wait to see all the familiar faces, learn arts long forgotten by most and eat our favorite food! For one day every single year I can count on everything being perfect. We will all run around like children seeing what is next to see. I can always count on this day being the best day of the whole year.
It's Robin Hood greeting us at the entrance! Skyler has been greeted by Robin Hood at every fair we have been to I believe.
As always the first thing we do is visit the King and the Queen. This year I actually got a video and to make it even better the King sung a song just for Skyler. She loves visiting with the Royals!!
This is one of the most beautiful things we have ever seen!
The girls just had to ride the barrell! No electric here all done by that poor guy! I could never imagine the strain this would put on a human body!
After the King and Queen this is the next favorite spot! Skyler has a baby dragon for every year she has went to the fair. It is a huge tradition and she looks forward to it every single year.
This year Rhyli needed a new circlet! Every proper princess needs one after all!
After shopping it was time to learn some stuff and see some shows!
Skyler had a lot of fun learning about coat of arms. This wonderful artist even made her one and of course it had a cat on it!
The girls love watching this man make tiny glass figures!
The big girls had a blast getting "inked"!
Had to stop for some pics with the BIG guy!
This throne reminds me of vikings!
Once again we enjoyed the jousting. We were a bit sad not to see the same actors from last year but it was still great!
We really enjoyed listening to how this women dyes things using onion skins! This might be a project for us in the future!
We had to see the birds of course. I really like visiting the birds of prey. I think they are just beautiful.
Before leaving our magical world I had to get a shot of all my people!
This tradition started years ago for us. I love that we have kept it up and no matter how old they are they still run through the fair like little kids at a toy store. It is always the best day ever.
