Our Review Of Kidzaw Master Kitz The Starry Night

If you have a little artist in your house then you must check out this amazing art kit! We were so excited to try Master Kitz The Starry Night by Kidzaw.com. I had never even heard of this company before given the chance to do a review from them. I am so thrilled to know about them now though! We are big Vincent van Gogh fans in this house and Starry Night is one of our absolute favorites! As soon as we opened Master Kitz The Starry Night I knew we had a great project pack! Skyler couldn't wait to do it.

Kidzaw

She was thrilled to open the kit and find not only art materials, but quality art materials! Many times when you purchase things like this they come with great ideas and cheap products. There is no worries here because they are top quality! The box itself is reusable for your little artist to tote their materials around. It has a sturdy handle and closes with a magnet. The paper she received was thick and large for her project. They also included two sheets so she can make the project again, do another one or even have another child complete one.

The box did not contain brushes which at first confused us! After reading though we realized she would be using rollers which was a neat thing to try out. She has had little paint rollers before. You can use them once then they are usually trash...not these! They held up for the entire project and even the washing up after. Once more I was thrilled because quality art materials are expensive and with a kid like mine who is always creating something they are a must have!

There is a step-by-step sheet for inspiration included! This was very helpful in knowing how to use what and when! She was really interested in the whole paint over stickers to leave blank spaces. She had never thought of this idea before so I am sure she will use it again in future projects.

She was very hesitant over painting the stickers! I had to assure her it would be all right! I would make the tiny suggestion to tell your child not to pound them on, they aren't meant to be a forever fixture to the art piece. Skyler simply placed hers on the page and went over them once with her hand just enough to stick.

Once again she did something new she had never thought of before. When adding colors she just placed it all together and used the roller again without washing it off. This was a new concept to her so it was pretty fun to see her amazement.

After the paint by roller parts were done she got to add the stencil. The stencil is also a quality paper, you will be able to use it again. She added the black paint to her mix and starting using the plain roller instead of the textured one.

After painting the black we removed the stencil and waited for it to dry. While it was drying we read about Vincent van Gogh in the enclosed booklet which is a really nice addition to the kit as well. After drying she was now able to use the oil pastels and start putting in the details! She was again amazed at the stars from the stickers!

The kit comes with three different oil pastel colors but of course to Skyler this simply would not do! I didn't find this an issue because in all honesty the project could have been completed with what was included Skyler simply had to put her mark on it, so to speak.

The finished project is simply beautiful! She tried all kinds of new techniques and had an absolute blast doing them! She was thrilled to learn that not only are their other Vincent van Gogh kits, but many other artists as well she can make projects from. They have many other project packs as well we are now interested in. I would recommend Kidzaw.com products to anyone interested in homeschool art, or any art projects for their child.
